Coaching Focus and Philosophy

Hi. I'm Liz , and I help people create better lives for themselves.

My unique focus as a coach lies in helping my clients:

  • Understand and manage their emotions.
  • Identify and bust out of limiting life patterns or negative mindsets.
  • Connect with their deeper purpose and core sense of self.
  • Engage more fully with a sense of adventure and fun in life!

My coaching philosophy is based on two basic principles: alignment and aliveness. 

 

Principle 1: Alignment

i.e. Be ALL of who you are

As humans we are made up of many different parts, each of which has it's own thoughts, emotions, and agendas.

For example, there might be a part of you that wants to win at life by owning your own business, but another part which is terrified of leaving the security of your current job. Or a part of you that is dedicated to being an amazing partner or parent, but another part that gets so damn pissed that you end up yelling at them instead!

When some of our parts are ignored or in conflict, we get stuck in cycles of struggle –making progress some days (or months, or years), only to revert back to old habits during times of stress. 

The way to bust out of these cycles of stuckness is not by pushing harder, but by fundamentally changing how we relate to ourselves and to the world. 

My job as a coach is to provide you with the tools and awarenesses that you need to bring your inner world into deeper connection and alignment, so that you can move forward in life with a sense of wholeness, fulfilment, and ease. 

Liz’s coaching has had a massive impact on how I live my everyday life. I’ve been less full of doubt and so much happier with the decisions I make – for example, my most recent decision to start a family!

Principle 2: Aliveness

I.e. Have some damn fun ;-)

Access to more energy, passion, happiness, and confidence comes from flexing the right internal 'muscles.' By creating the right balance within, we can allow our lives to flow – we start to feel more alive. 

When working alone, however, it's easy to fall into the trap of unconsciously flexing certain 'muscles' and not others, creating an imbalanced and disconnected experience of life. 

We start to go in circles. We're blocked. Life feels dull and boring ... but also frustrating and stressful! Now how did we manage that!? 

As a life coach, I'm trained to notice the ways you are subconsciously creating imbalances in your life that sap your energy and keep you stuck. 

More than that, I'm here to help you actively cultivate the threads of energy and passion within you, so that you can build up a sense of aliveness, excitement, and joy as you go about each day.

    Alignment and aliveness. The principles are simple, but embodying them daily truly is an art.

    Importantly, I'm not here to be a 'guru' who knows it all. I'm here instead to be your way-finder and guide – someone who is deeply familiar with the terrain of personal growth, and knowledgable in how to support you in walking your personal path.

    Together, we will work with your 'Raw Materials' – the attitudes, beliefs, thoughts, feelings, decisions, and choices that make up your experience of life. In each of our coaching sessions, we will shine a light on whatever patterns are keeping you stuck, and use powerful techniques and exercises to open up new possibilities for how you live. 

    As your coach, I'm here to point out your blind spots, offer compassion and support exactly when you need it, challenge you grow, and help you avoid the pitfalls of mindset and belief will pull you off track. 

    Working and playing alongside Liz has left me with more confidence and less stress. I no longer waste time on things/people/situations that don’t benefit me or help me on the path I want to travel. I now embrace all my ‘Sanna-ness’ wholly, without a doubt.
